Juliana Frontin é artista e mestre em Poéticas Visuais pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP. Frontin explora o som em suas diversas dimensões e extensões no tempo/espaço. Seus trabalhos tratam da contenção do som e ao mesmo tempo dos seus transbordamentos, do volume no espaço e suas possibilidades escultórics e visuais.
Sua prática investiga como o som não apenas ocupa o espaço, mas também o define e o transforma. A relação entre pintura e objeto é central em seu trabalho, tratando o som como algo físico, sujeito tanto à contenção quanto à expansão. Temas recorrentes incluem a ideia de espaço parcial, a tensão entre presença e ausência e o equilíbrio entre o visível e o invisível, o audível e o inaudível. Ao considerar o som como algo que pode ser contido no tempo e no espaço, Frontin desafia a noção de efemeridade sonora, criando experiências que envolvem o corpo e o silêncio.

Juliana Frontin is an artist and holds an MFA in visual poetics from USP University. Frontin explores sound in it's various dimensions and extensions within time and space. Her work deals with the constraint of sound, it's volume in space, materiality, sculptural and visual possibilities.
Her practice investigates how sound not only occupies space but also defines and transforms it. The relationship between painting and object is central to her work, treating sound as something physical, subject to both containment and expansion. Recurring themes include the idea of partial space, the tension between presence and absence, and the balance between the visible and invisible, the audible and inaudible. By considering sound as something that can be contained within time and space, Frontin challenges the notion of sonic ephemerality, creating experiences that engage the body and silence.
